Our Montessori trained principal has been teaching locally for over 18 years. In addition her to hands on teaching experience, she possesses Internationally recognized Montessori Teacher training and RECE credentials. This experience and training translates into solid individualized teaching plans for each child that are age appropriate and developmentally appropriate toward growth of their own personal full potential. The Early Childhood Educator Assistants in each classroom bring age appropriate expertise, hands on understanding and skills for each child in their care. Our Montessori School is Licenced by the Ministry of Education and adheres to all applicable 'childcare' laws with 100% inspection rating 2015/16. The facility offers a large secluded natural playground and large indoor areas for the children during inclement weather conditions for gross motor activity and play. Our On-site Kitchen is inspected, licenced and approved by the Ministry of Health allowing us to control and provide diverse, nuturing menus daily for lunch and snacks. We recognize that nutrition for the children is so very important! All food at our School is not catered. All choices and menu responsiblities are a responsibility of the school; and really one of our main focuses! Great nutrition to support each child's every day learning and natural development. Alternate/Substituted diets are welcome from our monthly menu for any children that may have an alternative diet for vegan, religious or health requirements. All of our daily nutrition requirements meet or exceed the Canadian Food Guide that regulates our daily menu. Parking is normally readily available directly in-front of the school entrance or playground. Daily communication with your child's teachers is always important, open and honest. Policies are in place to let you know how your child's day has been and to communicate anything we should know from you in the morning. Development communications and Plans: Parent-Teacher meetings are held two times per year with documentation to provide insight of development and open communication directly with your child's teachers. Access to your teachers, the Principal and Administration is easy and open daily. We all aim to have a great experience with your family, learning our great world together.
